My Hopes/Wishes for E3 2011

I've decided to type up something on E3. I'll continue on E3 after I see some coverage, but for now, I'm going to give you a little insight to my brain on the expo. I'm not going to go the route of predictions, but rather, expand on rumors and provide some of my hopes and wishes of things I'd love to see from the event. To open, I can already tell its going to be full of sequels, but most of the recent E3s have been. Let's start with a bigee.

Microsoft
Many people are hoping for a new Xbox announcement. I seriously doubt this will happen. More than likely, we will get a plethera of Kinect titles announced (Moft has already said this). I can tell you now, many of them will probably be for more hardcore gamers (also, right from Moft's mouth). I know we will get at least one shooter, if not more. Possibly even a popular FPS Kinect adaptation or at least the ability to use Kinect in a shooter. I don't really know much on the subject, but this is what I can see happening to Kinect... And I'm excited. Microsoft will cover games like Gears 3 and other big name titles. I don't see anything in the Halo area coming, but I could be wrong. What I'm really hoping for (and rumors have already spread on this) is a Killer Instinct 3. Rare has been doing a lot of work with Moft (Banjo: N&B, Viva Piñata, and Kinect games) and I can see this one coming through as an exclusive (if not on disc, maybe on XBLA). If not a third installment, at least a remake/port for Arcade. I can also see an announcement for either a web browser or something like it for 360. Maybe a YouTube application, although I doubt it, but its possible. I can also see (rumors, again) Moft announcing some sort of television application (not Hulu) for Xbox. That would be awesome. I can't say that I see Moft doing much else, other than gloating over the fact that PSN went down and how much they are selling (Kinect and 360s). I'm sure I will be suprised, they always suprise me.

Nintendo
Yeah, new console. Which is fucking awesome. But we already know about it. I'm very excited to see the specs on it and what it has to offer. I think we will also learn that Skyward Sword is going to be a launch title for it. Also, we'll probably see a new Mario for it. Hopefully, we'll get a name and an expected release date, too... Other than that, I can see (maybe) more 3DS titles launching as well as some new ports. Possibly a new Donkey Kong? I'd love to see a new Yoshi's Island/Yoshi's Story. I'm still just stoked about the new system. Rumors: More powerful than a 360/PS3; Controller has a touch screen that you can use as well as port games to the controller to use as a handheld system; Actual internet capabilities (sorry Wii, you fail). That's about it for Nintendo, but usually they have something up their sleeve as well.

Sony
"Sorry about the outage folks." Ok. New Metal Gear. Maybe. Something like Heavy Rain. Possibly. New system? No. Same system, bigger hard drive/different look? Maybe. Kevin Butler being an idiot. Yes! I like Sony as a company, but they need to step it up this year. I can see more games like LBP coming out (maybe not sequels, but the same thought). They will talk about the NGP. Hopefully give a release date, price point, and games. I know they will talk about Twisted Metal. I'm not sure what they have up their sleeve for this year, but they need to do something great. They know they need to. Some hacker has my name and address because of them.

Ubisoft
New Assassin's Creed. Hopefully talk more on the new Ghost Recon. That's about it besides dance games.

EA
Madden. Battlefield 3. And my favorite, The Old Republic (yussss). That's about all I can think of.

Bungie
Not going to be there.

Blizzard
I don't think they are going either.

Somewhere in the mix Modern Warfare 3 will be shown, probably at Moft's press release. Sony may talk about their work with Bungie, but I doubt anything will be announced as far as games. Epic may have another game up their sleeve (maybe another People Can Fly game, haha). LucasArts needs to announce something big. I mean, besides TOR. No more LEGO games, for now. I don't think another Force Unleashed will happen, but it could. I'm thinking its time to announce Battlefront 3. I would die from anticipation on that one. If not that, something else badass. One other company that, I'm sure, will make an appearance somewhere is Valve. I just have no idea what it could be. New Half Life, maybe?

My biggest hopes/wishes are:
Battlefront 3
Project Café being good.
Killer Instinct 3
Bungie randomly showing a good multiplatform game.
A good Halo (port to XBLA with XBL access maybe?)
More Rage footage.
And just a good year for games in general.
Also, TOR having player housing, lol.
